The Seattle Aquarium was opened in May 1977. By comparison to the aquariums operated by Sea World and other large operations, the Seattle Aquarium is small. But the fish, sea mammals, and other sea organisms found are well displayed to give the visitor a better idea of the wildlife of Puget Sound.
