Completed in 2009, Bonaire's Ecopower Wind Turbine Park works in conjunction with the new Ecopower Plant at Karpata to provide electricity to Bonaire. The windmills alone, driven by the near-constant trade winds, produce 44% of Bonaire's power needs.
