Kingswood Estates was developed by Mr. Richard MacLeod and William Dunhill in 1972. Many of the original property owners were from the United States Air Force Academy. Access to the original Baptist Camp was through the Kingswood Estate property. Baptist Road which runs East/West and is the access to Interstate 25 was named because of the camp. Many of the property owners continue to be retired Air Force Officers. Lots are typically 5 acres.
