Avita Ontario Hospital offers north-central Ohio residents a 24-hour, full-service emergency department, inpatient care, surgical care, and a wide variety of specialty service lines.

Was a Lazarus from the time when the Richland Mall opened its doors in 1969 to 2005 when Macy's took over Lazarus. This Lazarus Department Store (based in Columbus, Ohio) was the first Lazarus built outside of Columbus. The Lazarus store briefly became Macy's on March 6, 2005, but subsequently closed in 2006 following the purchase of the May Department Store company by Federated Department Stores, parent of Macy's and the former Lazarus.

In October 2013, Avita Health System purchased the 185,137 square foot three story former Lazarus (1969 to 2005) / Macy's (2005 to 2006) building at the Richland Mall for $3.5 million. The multi-specialty medical complex opened in 2014. In February 2017, Avita Ontario Hospital opens.
