  • At the head of the Agraharam Street , one can see the VAIKUNTANATHAR SWAMY temple, the lord of the village, and of Vaikuntha. One can also clearly see the Andhra-TN border snaking through the village, on Google Earth. The adjoining river bed is of the Paalar, river. Post winter monsoons , one sees flow of water. It currently runs dry , because of DAMS, upstream ( in Andhra ).
  • The guest ref . of the river as PALAR is wrong He did not know even the river name correctly poor state of local people's geographical knowledge The correct name of the river is kusaththalai mean the river where once lot of kusa grass is growing in abundance at river head
