The Archeological site Mediana is located on what was once the Roman road Via militaris that led to Constantinapolis, and today it’s the road that leads from Nis to Sophia.
At the acrheological site Mediana you can see: villa with peristyle complex (peristyle, gala reception room, two dining rooms, remains of therme, mosaics), granary/winery, remains of two Early Christian churches from IV century with a mosaic of Christ’s monogram.
Constantine the Great (280 - 337) was born and raised in Naissus.
