Daganbhuiyan Upazila (Feni district) with an area of 165.84 sq km, is bounded by Nangalkot, Chauddagram and Feni sadar upazilas on the north, Companiganj upazila on the south, Feni sadar and Sonagazi upazilas on the east, Senbagh upazila on the west. Main river is little Feni.

The location of the Daganbhuiyan town is 22.9352707N 91.3031757E. Daganbhuiyan (Town) The town is now a municipality with an area of 2.11 sq km and population 25839; male 51.12% and female 42.88%. It has 9 wards and 17 mahallas. Literacy rate among the town people is 51.3%.

Daganbhuiyan upazila consists of 8 union parishads, 101 mouzas and 126 villages.

Religious institutions: Mosque 306, temple 30 and tomb 6.

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census: Population 204975; male 49.40%, female 50.60%; Muslim 92.55%; Hindu 7.44% and others 0.01%.

Literacy and educational institutions: Average literacy 40.9%; male 48.2% and female 33.5%. Educational institutions: college 2, high school 23, madrasa 13, government primary school 94.

Main occupations: Agriculture 33.98%, agricultural labourer 13.88%, non agricultural labourer 1.92%, transport 3%, commerce 10.18%, service 23.59% and others 13.45%.

Land use: Total cultivable land 11307.16 hectares; fallow land 49.98 hectares; double crop 71% and treble crop land 29%. Land under irrigation 23%.

Land control: Among the peasants 25% are landless, 31% small, 38% intermediate and 6% rich; cultivable land per head 0.16%.

Value of land: The market value of the land of the first grade is approximately 12500 Taka per 0.01 hectare.

Hats, bazars and fairs Total number of hats and bazars are 29, most noted of which are Daganbhuiyan, Dudmukha, Koreshmunshi and Chilonia Hat; fair 1 (Naldia Mela).
