The bridge is 190 m long, 3.5 m wide and has 11 semi-oval arch openings. It was build in the end of the 15th century and repaired in the 18th century as evidenced by a Turkish stone inscription. The bridge was repaired using funds supplied by the Gjakova Tailors Guild which gives the name. Major reconstruction and restoration to its original appearance were held from 1982 to 1984.
