The stone idol was in ruins about 1 Km from the village, at a place called Gudi Kunta. It was brought to the present place[in the center of the village] and established in the year 1982 with the paintaking effort of Smt Dittakavi Bhanumati and the devotees of the village.Developments on the temple are going on in a phased manner and a lot has to be done.It is said to be 700 years old and the idol stands at about 6-1/2' in height in Abhayanjaneya mode.Puja is performed every Tuesday.Puja is also performed on a grand scale on Sri Rama Navami day every year.
