  • Hi, built my home in Punkunnam MG Nagar in year 1991, and since then am settled there. For me, it is nicest place on earth. Very peace loving middle & upper middle class/salaried class Hindu community living with perfect amity with gods own countries culture and tradition. Most importantly, Punkunnam houses a large number of Kerala Iyer families in "Agraharams". Srirama temple here is the first one having a golden charriot for the lord and it rolls out during Ramanavami festivels in April. Plenty of retired people who WERE from Cochin, Thrissur & Palakkad who migrated to Metropols in their teens for a livelyhood came back to settle well in Punkiunnam in their old age. The serene and pious environment around Srirama temple is heaven on earth atleast for me.
