Pilce (German: Pilz, Piltz): village, already in 1341 flooded by the river Nysa Kłodska (www.kamzab.pl/pl/2689/0/Historia.html), finally by the big Odra flood in October 1997 (levis.sggw.waw.pl/ecoflood/contents/articles/PS/html/PosterSession.pdf) with bad effects of surrounding gravel pits. All inhabitants (about 300) were relocated, all buildings and the broken bridge in the North removed. The whole area will serve as flood water retention basin (www.fig.net/com6_orange/pdf/Poster_Paper%202.pdf).
