On the 22nd of March 1998, the aircraft on flight PR 137 approached the runway 04 going north in landing sequence and left the runway at high speed, went through the concrete perimeter fence, jumped over a small creek and went through several clusters of shanties and trees. Three people on the ground were killed.
All passengers survived. There were only injuries reported, some of which were critical, but in the end all of them recovered after hospitalization.
