Bangladesh / Chattagam /
 shipwreck, shipyard

Starting from the year 1969 (Wikipedia) over-aged ships are piloted at high tide onto the beach to be scrapped, almost entirely by manual labor. According to FP magazine, half of the world's supertankers are dismantled here.

  • 90+ ships being salvaged here. Nearly twice the next two yards combined Gadani/Pakistan and Alang/India Maersk has moved it's ship scrapping elsewhere due to the death rate here.
