One of the most well known waterfalls in New Zealand, with a reputation around the world. The falls drop directly out of Lake Quill, then down three steps in very quick sucession, dropping 229m (751ft), 248m (815ft), and 103m (338ft) respectively. The base of the falls is accessible on foot by a short ( 2Km ) diversion from the famous Milford Track ( walking track ).
