An original farm house built in 1812, when the whole area was covered by fields. This is far older than any of the other buildings in the area: it predates the arrival of the railway and the development of a dense residential area around the station (this explains why the house is not aligned with the road). It was a pottery until 1986 when it was converted to flats.
