A local mountain popular with hikers and mountain bikers. The mountain's distinctive double summit is visible throughout the Cowichan Valley.
A ten-metre granite memorial cairn was erected on Mt. Prevost in 1929 in memory of those who had fallen in World War I. Later, a second plaque was installed for those fallen in World War II.
