This used to be a Linens N Things, a chain, not unlike Bed Bath & Beyond. It closed when the chain died in late 2008. For nearly the next ten years, it served as seasonal Halloween stores. In February 2013, KBTX confirmed Sprouts Farmers Market would move into the store, but just prior to plans being filed for construction, Sprouts pulled out of the project. Finally, construction began in spring 2017 for a Spec's location, which would end up opening in late August 2017. It only uses a portion of the retail space, as a large part of the store is wholesale.
