  • 4 Million tonnes of coal per year has to be mined from for running this power plant.Total 1750 hectares (including 1600 hectares of Forest Land)would vanish.Convener of "Ekjut" formed by 25 NGOs opposed this Coalmine as it would vanish this forest land which is very near to TATR(this is last remaining heaven for tigers in Maharashtra).
