The Kali Temple of Anushaktinagar was established on 24th March 1983 at a place where the NPCIL building is located at present. The Kali Temple was a part of Kartikayan Temple which was a very old temple at the earthswhile "Janta Colony" (presently seven sister buildings are located). The present temple construction was completed in the year 1995 in its present location. Deonar Bongiya Parishad (established in the year 1979),a registered socio cultural organisation under 'Bombay Public Trust Act 1950' is the owner and custodian of this temple since 1991 after amulgamation of 'Kali Bari Association' with Deonar Bongiya Parishad.
