Geothermal plant located on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) property, within the boundaries of the United States Naval Weapons Center at China Lake. The plant went on line in 1989. Steam for driving its two turbine generators is produced using geothermal wells located within a few thousand feet of the plant. Aggregate gross electrical generating capacity is approximately 60 MW.
