Castle Krakovec was built about 1383 by nobleman, friend of Czech King Wenceslaus IV. and burgrave of the Krivoklat Castle Jira of Roztoky. This very imposing castle has been better known as a last place of asyllum of Master Jan Hus before his departure to Council of Constance journey on October 11, 1414. Later was the castle renowned in Rennaisance style and several times reviced, but after the large fire in 1783 was quite abandoned and gradually changed onto a ruins.
