Thirumalai is an important Historical place containing Kundavai Jinalayam.Kundavai was elder sister of the famous Rajaraja Chola I.Lithic records starts from Parantak I period towards Vijayanagar.Total records are 17. Here one can see bas relief of Ambika,tall Neminath etc.,.Here two Jain temples face east.This site is protected under ASI.Now Jain Madam was started to propagate Jain teachings and educate students of all communities.-
