Art Museum (Râmnicu Vâlcea)

The building which houses the Art Museum belonged to the family Tita and Nae Simian born in Salistea Sibiu, owners of a shoe factory in Ramnicu Valcea, in the mid-twentieth century.
The house has a specific architectural structure.
The permanent exhibition of the Museum of Art, brings together outstanding works of Romanian painting and sculpture, belonging to famous artists of the late nineteenth century (Nicolae Grigorescu, Nicolae Vermont, Sabin Popp, Ipolit Strâmbu, Sava Hentia, Ion Georgescu, F. Storck), the first half of the XX century (Gh.Petrascu, N.Tonitza, Th.Pallady, C.Michailescu), the second half of the XX century (H.Catargi, I.Tuculescu, Florin Niculiu, Margareta Sterian, Michaela Eleutheriade, Lucia Dem. Balacescu, Corneliu Baba, Camil Ressu, Horia Bernea, Virgil Almasanu, Dan Hatmanu, Sabin Balasa, Ion Salisteanu, Paul Gerasim, Ion Grigorescu, Marin Gerasim, Viorel Margineanu, George Apostu, Ovidiu Maitec, Costel Badea).
