Southwestern Academy is a nonprofit, college preparatory school for grades 6-12 in San Marino, California, USA. The school is accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges), and offers boarding and day enrollment for 165 boys and girls from sixth through twelfth grades, plus a year of postgraduate studies. It is unique among schools of its kind in that it also has a campus in northern Arizona, located on a ranch on Beaver Creek in the Coconino National Forest near Sedona, Arizona. Students may spend time at both suburban California and rural Arizona campuses. The school was founded in 1924 by Maurice Veronda, father of the current headmaster, Kenny. It is sometimes known as "The Veronda School" and the school's motto is Pro Summo Bono.
