A medieval stronghold was completely rebuilded by Count of Wrtba. Last owner baroness Sidonia "Sidi" Nadherna died in London exillum 1952. In the 1942-1945 the castle served as a headqarters of German SS-troops training area Bohemia an tank-repair unit. CC Flossenburg branch was in the neighbourhood. At present property of the National Museum of Praha. A very nice park has been step-by-step improved.
