Simonton is a city in Fort Bend County, Texas located along Farm-To-Market Road 1093 within the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area. As of the 2010 US Census, the population was 814.
The city is named in honor of James Simonton, who in 1850 moved his family to Texas from North Carolina to establish a plantation on the Brazos River.
