  kothakonda is one of the historical place.there is a famous temple of veera bhadra.near by this village is big hills are there.on one of the hill so many old stone walls are there and at the end of the hill small water ponds and small temple is there.Every year full of january month is rush with people, those who comes from many villeges.this festival is very good.i use to go every year to see this festival and pray to veerabhadra swamy god.   Yes Lord Veerabadra(Avatara of Lord siva) powerfull god. Apart from this sankranthri jatara, here is another speciality in this villige. We can see batukamma banda behind that kontha konda cheruvu on the day of saddulu pandaga (mostly one day befor vijaya dasami) all the villagers and their relatives gather on bathukamma band around 5 o clock in the evening. This season also alaround the banda one side big hills,one side water one side village and fourth side green fields. Hill decorated with electric bulbs(some times not :))all females are playing batukamm and all males meet there and meet each evry one. Its good see for the people stay away from village due to jobs and all.Its even good see othes if you have luck have friend from this villiage go and enjoy this moment.
