  • This is a really fun place to spend an evening or even a whole day. Built to resemble the ruins of a crusader castle on a ridge high above the sea, the place incorporates a commodious bar with open beams and rock-faced walls. A balcony along the front lets you enjoy the glorious view while eating dinner or just downing a few cold beers. There's a pool on a slightly lower level that also affords a stunning view out across the sea to Saudi Arabia, and even an underground cellar portion with "treasures" tucked into little niches. Food is excellent, but the portions are enormous -- there is no way that anyone with a normal appetite will finish a serving. The slow-cooked lamb comes in a vast, traditional-style, earthenware dish, and the meat and the vegetables, which are cooked together, taste sublime. Keep in mind that you need to order your meal 2 to 3 hours in advance. If you're just stopping by for dinner, make sure that you phone ahead.
