PRR Perkiomen Creek Bridge (Repurposed)

Stone arch bridge originally built by the Pennsylvania Railroad for its Schuylkill Valley branch, it was abandoned by Conrail, along with the majority of the associated rail line, in the late 1970s.

The bridge was re-purposed in the early 2000s and is now open to foot, bike, and vehicle traffic. The bridge has a separate foot/bike path that carries the Schuylkill River Trail.

  • Bridge is open (March 2007)to vehicle, foot and bike traffic. Schuylkill Trail FROM Valley Forge leads onto sidewalk for walking bike over. Stop sign for cars where Trail enters onto bridge or road. STOP bike. WALK over. Steep downhill paving on Oaks side, very sharp right turn into Park. Be safe, WALK.
