Almost 100 years after the first library was erected on the campus, a new library, Hamilton, was constructed. Completed in 1961, it was named in honor of George E. Hamilton, a Rhodes Scholar, regional business leader and college benefactor who served on the state's Citizens Advisory Committee on Education. Major renovations were completed in 1997, and the building now boasts a new student services center providing a "one-stop shopping" facility for students. Registration, scheduling, bursar, peer counseling, financial aid, and enrollment, management and retention are all available under one roof. The second floor houses art studios and faculty offices. A computer lab for the Mathematics and Computer Science department was recently added on the lower level.
