The Biggers House was built between 1850 and 1855 by a local builder and carpenter named Nathaniel Austin. In 1883, the house was purchased by Bishop Quince Biggers, who operated it as a hotel and livery until 1897. Acquired by Edinboro University Services, Inc., both the interior and exterior were extensively renovated in 1989.
