belong to the great old kallukunnel family,the pioneers in medical care in pala&velliappally...in fact it was an important treatment centre of central travancore in 1900-1960s...kallukunnel ayurveda hospital is located in the kallukunnel hills,was established in 1910 by vallya vaidyan(mentioned in the narrative story "velliappally valavum,velli vadi vaidyarum",by a reknowned freedom fighter in his freedom fighting days memoires....)this place is so tranquil that u wont feel like goin any where else,u may become quite lazy if u spend sometime here!carrying a long history of events like-everyday lunch for all the patients,bystanders,workers&poor people/one of the best mental illness treating centres(ayurveda)in the world,one of the first medicine exporting&trading centres of kerala-back in 1950s/best hospital in travancore award presented during the b day celebrations of the maharaja of travancore/....etc..this place remains unknown to the new generations-may be coz they dont find anything interesting about this place..anywaysthis place deserves much more publicity....
