Sarangkheda Barrage

Barrage took 13 yrs app. For it's construction & 3 yrs. To place the steel barriers for collecting the water .the barrage is meant for water supply to the farming & drinking water. The local leader designed the scheme for the Tapi khore yojana but could not pursue it's implementation at least for shahada tehsil. He neither forsee the water requirement for sugar factory farmers/ members nor fought for Sardar Sarovar water share. The co op was confined to only sugar factory. The situation saw the whole industry bankrupt which was catering to several thousands employees & farmers become jobless & bankrupt. It has not helped him to negotiate the political mileage as well. Nevertheless it is now complete & can be used to the fullest & earliest possible to bring about the economic change for better living.
