New nallapadu railway colony is now christened and renamed as "Rail Vihar" and inaugurated on 25th.February,2009.It has a hill top house- "The Rock Villa" - the official residence of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Guntur Division, large spacious railway officers' colony, a man made lake dug out of abandoned granite quarry and sprawling lawn, meandering pathways and garden aptly named 'Pleasant Valley'. This entire project has been completed in record 10 months time between 26th.April,2008 and 25th February,2009.The design ,concept, landscaping and architect is M.Akhtar,a Civil Servant who was holding the post of Divisional Railway Manager,Guntur Division of South Central Railway between 2007-09.

    I have visited the site.This Rail Vihar is an excellent creation by the railway department.It has added new satellite township to Guntur agglomeration.
