This wildlife management area consists of Pearl Island, a 12.4 hectare privately owned island, and the water within half a mile of the island. Total area is 317.8 hectares. The island is a rock barren. In 1976 it became a wildlife management area with the support of the Nova Scotia Bird Society. The wildlife management area was created for the protection of colonial nesting birds. Hunting and trapping are prohibited. Access is restricted.
