The Esquimalt and Nanaimo Railway crosses over the Little Qualicum River on this 137 meter (450') long trestle.

It is used twice daily by VIA Rail Canada's Malahat passenger train. The Malahat runs northward from Victoria to Courtenay in the morning, and returns southbound in the afternoon.

Southern Railway of Vancouver Island freight trains also use this trestle, although rarely.
