  Weren't those the days when you could drive down Telegraph by Seven mile at Christmas time and see Santa and all his reindeer on the restaurant's roof. This restaurant had many famous Hollywood stars visiting to eat after they played in Detroit's marvelous theaters. I was born in the Motor City in the early 60's and lived there until the mid 70's. My mom worked at Topinka's and waited on customers like Jimmy Stewart until it burned down in the early 70's, right after New Year Day I think. What a shame, that place was filled with antique Tiffiney glass lights hanging in one of the four different dining rooms. I sure wish time would stand still sometimes and I could go to Topinka's for a delicious meal.
