The John Innes Centre is an independent, international centre of excellence in plant science and microbiology. Our mission is to carry out fundamental and strategic research, to train scientists and to make our findings available to society. It belongs to the BBSRC.
The Sainsbury Laboratory is located at the John Innes Centre in Norwich, and accommodates approximately 95 scientists. Our main goal is to make fundamental discoveries about plants and how they interact with microbes and viruses
