The Kounice townlet is one of oldest settled sites in the Czech region, aged more than 3,000 years. There was plenty of rulers, the most known were Lords of Trcka of Lipe, heritors of Duke of Wallenstein, Counts Thun and Prussian Field Marshall Count Johann Rudolph Count of Morzin and his descendatns, wihch owned the Horni Lukavice manor also (Haydn was their composer). At local castle initiated Duke Albrecht of Wallentein his treason talks against Austrian emperor 30.11.1631 with the Saxonian Royal Army Field Marhall Sixt von Armin. Last owners were Princes of Liechtenstein and Duchess Maria Theresa Anna Felicitas of Savoia-Piemont.
