Mangalath Tharavad is one of the oldest houses (more than 300 years) in Arookutty village.More than 400 family members are there in and arround,worshiping Pathiyamkattu Paradevatha,hailing from Azhuvanchery Kovilakam.Every year second day of Makarm all most all family members and village people gather and offer Sapthahaparayana Yegnam and Kalasapooja to the Paradevatha.Mangalath BhavaniAmma (Late)was a prominent person in the village.
