  Pedda Cheruvu has a lot of significance and great importance. This cheruvu was the source of drinking water prior to the municiapl water supply. There an ancient Umamaheshwara temple adjacent to the cheruvu and the poojariji use to bring the water from the cheruvu to offer to the huge shivalingam.
