Al-Sour Street (Kuwait City)
Sour or pronounced Soor, means wall, since this street was built exactly on the old Kuwaiti third wall, this wall was built to protect Kuwait City which was inside. Each time it was expanded as people increase, there were a total of three Sours, note that no other residential areas were beyond the wall, except for Bedouin people in the desert, no one lived without the protection of the Sour.
The discontinuity of this street near blocks 8, 12, 14 and Bneid Al-Gar is due exchanging an old five exit roundabout Al-Sabah roundabout with a traffic conjunction.
