Joint stock commercial bank for industry and construction “Moldindconbank” SA is considered as one of the oldest and biggest banks in Moldova. The Bank commenced its activity on July 1, 1959 as a Moldovan branch of Bank for Construction of USSR the main tasks of which were financing of construction of industry projects, energy complex enterprises, and arterial roads.

Subsequently the Bank was reorganized in Moldavan republic bank of the Bank for Industry and Construction of USSR and executed additional functions of complex accounting and cash services and lending to industry enterprises, transport, communication, scientific-technical and supply organizations. During its activity the Bank has been an active participant in many state projects oriented to form and to develop the Moldavian economy.

Upon collapse of USSR by decision of Constituent Assembly of October 25, 1991 the bank was transformed in private Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Construction, abbreviated as “Moldindconbank” SA. The bank founders represented the biggest enterprises of the Republic such as Moldavan railway, Dnester Hydroelectric power station, Airport of Chisinau, “Moldagrotechnica”, “Moldavhydromash” and others.

“Moldindconbank” S.A., during its 10th year activity as a private commercial bank, strengthened its position on the banking market and is optimising its assets and liabilities structure, developing and diversifying the number of clients, and up-grading service system. Today “Moldindconbank” SA acts as a universal commercial bank rendering an entire package of banking services to legal entities and individuals. Bank is one of the five leading banks in Moldova rating, developed a largely diversified network of banking affiliates inside the country as well as correspondent relations with banks in Europe, America and Asia.
