Monument to the Lines of Torres Vedras

Hércules de Alhandra is a monumet to commerate the building of the Lines of Torres Vedras during the Penninsular wars. This was the first line of defence running from Alhandra on the Tagus to Praia Azul on the Atlantic coast designed to protect Lisbon from the French Invasion.
