This memorial sculpture represents the hands of a man (father), woman (mother) and child, respectively, together creating a clear symbol of the family, pointing to the entire families who have suffered in this place. While the symbolic motif of "raised fists" is a common and easily understood theme found in numerous memorial works across Yugoslavia.
