Between Azuga and Predeal (on DN1-E60 , about 1 km north from city ) one can find the Romanian
Heroes Cemetery. On its portal is carved “ For Homeland 1916 – 1918 – 1944 “. Built in 1920, the
military cemetery has an area of 2000 square meters. 173 heroes are buried here, of which 161
unknown and 12 known.

Surrounded by a wrought iron fence with metal lattice frames on concrete foundation, the cemetery
has within its premises three oak roadside crucifixes and 160 military concrete crosses. A central
lane with concrete steps, ascends from the E-60 highway to the large crucifix from the middle of the
cemetery.

Access : by bus, car , bicycle or on foot.

No fees are required for visiting the cemetery, and the cemetery can be visited throughout the day.
