Madhabkunda Eco-Park is sited at Baralekha upazila of Moulvibazar district, Sylhet division in Bangladesh was declared as Eco-park in 2001. The Ecopark covers about area of 654.42 acres of land including about 400 acres of reserve forest for wild life. The enterprise of declaring these sites as Eco-tourism-parks, widen a new width of developing World-Eco-Tourism, Bio-diversity protection, expansion of education and explore in the areas.
Having the wonderful opportunities to enjoy the scenic beauty of nature closely it is the most populated tourist spot in Bangladesh as well as foreign countries.
A natural waterfall is the most attractive site of this Eco-park. Waterfall is a sudden, steep or perpendicular descent of water onto the bed of a river, occurring where the flow of the river is broken by a nearly horizontal bed of hard rock overlying easily eroded soft rock; or by the sharp edge of a plateau; or by the abrupt end of a hanging valley, high on the slopes of a u-shaped valley; or by a fault-line scarp; or by the edge of a coastal cliff. Madhabkunda waterfall is one of the beautiful places which have a lot of ecological, regional and economical significance. Madhabkunda is the largest waterfall in Bangladesh, about 200 ft (61 m) high. A section of Khasia tribe lives in the forest villages of this area and is engaged in some agro-economic activities in the forestland. People of this tribal community traditionally grow betel vine, betel nut, cashew nut, pineapple, lemon, etc for their livelihood.
Geologically, this waterfall is in the Patharia Structure and is composed of the rocks of the Bhuban formation. Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation has established picnic spots, restaurants and parking facilities near the Madhabkunda.

For the recreation of visiting people from home and abroad, as well as creating a centre.
For the dissemination of knowledge to people of all age groups about the habits and habitats of the plant and animal populations living there.
For creating awareness about the need of conservation of biodiversity.
