The two-storey building was originally constructed in 1908 and was operated as Main Grocery where its owner, Alexander Main, operated the store & lived above it until 1929. The store then operated as Cape Sun Grocery until 1945 when it became the Florida Market (which eventually closed in July 2013) and its currently designated in Group B on the City of Vancouver’s Heritage Register.
