The current facility consists of three dams, two reservoirs, one headpond, and a tunnel and penstock system that supplies water to the 170 MW powerhouse on the lower Jordan River. It is operated by BC Hydro.
The Bear Creek Dam is located on Bear Creek at the upstream end of the reservoir chain. The earthfill dam is 337 m (meters) long and 17.4 m high.
