Canada / British Columbia / Sooke /

The Jordan River hydroelectric system was originally completed in 1911 and redeveloped in 1971. The current facility consists of three dams, two reservoirs, one headpond, and a tunnel and penstock system that supplies water to the 170 MW powerhouse on the lower Jordan River. It is operated by BC Hydro.

The Bear Creek Dam is located on Bear Creek at the upstream end of the reservoir chain. The earthfill dam is 337 m (meters) long and 17.4 m high.
