Shaheed Minar (Imphal)

At the north end of the Bir Tikendrajit park is the Shaheed Minar. The Shahid Minar was erected in memory of Yubaraj Bir Tikendrajit and General Thangal who were hung in public by British at this site in 1891. The memorial is a minaret consisting of 3 vertical beams joining together at the top. At the tip of the memorial are 3 mythical dragons.
